SULLIVAN— Lynn F. Sullivan, age 81, of Florence passed away July 15, 2009. Lynn was born on March 6, 1928, in Cortland, Neb., to Frank and Gladys (Milten-berger) Sullivan who preceded him in death. On May 6, 1950, he married, in Boise, Idaho, Iona Braden who survives him.
Lynn will be remembered in the Eugene business community as “Mr. U-Lane-O.” He and his wife started running the credit union out of a bedroom of their home in 1958.
U-Lane-O continued to grow and expand under his direction, along with the volunteers of the Board of Directors, Credit Comm., Supervisory Comm. and a wonderful staff. It is now known as Oregon Community Credit Union.
He and his wife Iona retired in 1988 and moved to Florence in 1997. Survivors include his wife Iona of Florence, children Christine Sullivan and Kim M. Sullivan of Burlingame, Calif.; Connie Hooker of Kenmore, Wash.; and Kevin Sullivan of Reno, Nev.; and one granddaughter, Krystee.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 25, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Florence with private cremational rites by Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home.
