Street rehabilitation projects starting Monday, Oct. 8, will require portions of 15th, 27th and Spruce streets to be closed to traffic.
Contractors have already begun staging their equipment along 15th Street and placed barricades notifying the public and residents not to park on the street. The project entails removing the existing pavement and base rock materials and completely reconstructing the street.
Because of the nature of the project there will be slight inconveniences, particularly to the residents that live along the construction route. Letters were sent out to property and business owners adjacent to the affected portions of the project and the contractor will notify property owners as they close street sections. Provisions for local access will be provided during construction. For the complete article see the 10-06-2012 issue.
