The Siuslaw Pioneer Museum will hold its annual Legacy Dinner on Saturday evening, Oct. 20.
“The proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to pay down the museum’s mortgage,” said museum board President Del Phelps.
“Historic buildings in Old Town are one of the big reasons people come here, and by buying the old Florence School for the museum, it has helped with historic preservation.”
Phelps noted that the number of museum visitors has increased approximately 600 percent, with people coming from all over the world to see the museum and what it has to offer about the Siuslaw region.
