Port of Siuslaw Manager Robert Forsythe announced the Wharf Improvement Project is waiting on permit approval from National Marine Fisheries Service before it can begin. The project is scheduled for completion in February 2013. The work will include demolition and reconstruction of parts of the Old Town Wharf.
Legacy Contracting Inc. expects to bring in equipment for the job in the next two weeks. Materials and equipment will be staged in the Nopal Street and Mo’s Restaurant parking lots.
