‘Giving’ is theme Nov. 17 at Grocery Outlet

On Saturday, Nov. 17, Grocery Outlet will play host to three events running simultaneously, benefiting people in need as well as homeless animals and pet owners facing financial distress.

Starting at 9:30 a.m., Mon Ami restaurant owner Cindy Wobbe is holding her 12th annual old-fashioned Pounding Food Drive to benefit families in need.

Simultaneously in the parking lot, Florence Area Humane Society will hold a Stuff the Van pet food drive. The donated food is used to help area pet owners who cannot afford to feed their companion animals, as well as the shelter animals.

A free hot dog will be given for donations of 5 pounds of dry pet food or five cans of pet food.
