On the road again

A British couple almost ended an around-the-world trip by motorcycle earlier this month when they slid off a road north of Florence, their bike plunging 100 feet over an embankment. But with help from the local community, they are back on the road again.

In their 40s, Kevin and Karen Browne from West Sussex, England, saved for 10 years and modified a Moto Guzzi Spada to embark on a trip that in 3-1/2 years of travel, has brought them to 24 countries. They have journeyed through such places as Mongolia, Khazakstan, New Zealand and Japan and plan to end their journey at Tierra Del Fuego, off the southern tip of South America.
