Sandblasters sweep Canyon Crushers

The Sandblasters picked up two league wins on Saturday after sweeping the Canyon Crushers of Stayton in two narrow wins.

In the nine-inning opener, TR trailed 3-4 through the first six innings before knocking in three runs during the final three innings to move ahead, 6-4.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Canyon doubled, then tripled then singled to tie the game at six and force extra innings.

The ’Blasters went on to score three runs in the tenth inning, beginning with Jimmy Mack, who got aboard on an error.

A single from Timmy Young advanced Mack to third, followed by a single from Ryan Smith that put TR ahead, 7-6.
