When the Viking girls step onto the hardwood for their final game of the season this Friday when they host South Umpqua, head coach Aaron McNeill said he will end the league season — with or without a win — with pride in a team that gave its all.
Ever quarter of every game.
“This group of girls does not quit,” McNeill said. “They play as if they believe they can win every time they step onto the court, and they play like winners regardless of the score.”
Friday night after making the long trip to Brookings, McNeill’s team did just that, coming back from a 19-35 deficit at the half to outscore the Bruins 11-5 in the third period.
