Signs of spring

Siuslaw senior Lona Dengler runs in on a fly ball during softball practice, which began last week for spring sports at Siuslaw and Mapleton high schools. The Vikings’ first game will be March 13, when they host Pleasant Hill, beginning at 5 p.m. The baseball team also hosts Pleasant Hill, March 13, at 5 p.m.
