World Sandboard Tour kick-off includes three local champions

While the sun was warming up Florence, things were getting even hotter for local sandboard competitors Gabe and Jackson Cruz and Mackenzie Matthews, at the Baja Sandboarding 2013 competition in Baja, Calif.

The event, which kicked off the 2013 World Sandboard Tour, included sandboarders from the United States and Mexico, as well as Brazil’s Digi Dias, who competes in the Sand Master Jam and X-West Huck Fest at Sand Master Park in Florence each summer.
