LAW—Frank Law was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Springfield, Illinois to Florence Hankins and Frank B. Law.
Frank was the fourth child in a family of six children. He had two older brothers, one older sister, one younger brother and one younger sister.
The only surviving sibling is the youngest sister, Jayne Austin, from McKinney, Texas.
Frank met and married his wife, Kathryn, in 1964.
On Feb. 22, 1964, they were married in Tijuana, Mexico. On June 2, 1964, they were remarried in Carson City, Nev.
Although they were not sure what the Spanish marriage license said, they were married for 49 years.
Frank and Kathryn had one daughter, Dayna Ann Law, born on Oct. 21, 1966.
Frank was in the U.S. Army and was a veteran. He drove the DAV van up the coast to Portland for six years, picking up veterans for their medical appointments. He then was a volunteer at the Elks Bingo on Tuesday nights for two years.
He loved meeting people and making new friends.
Frank and Kay had many great adventures together.
They always seemed to have the same interests — they were a true couple. There were 49’er football games and a place at Lake Berryessa South Shore Resort for 25 years of waterskiing and fun. There were too many dances to count, as they both loved dancing.
Jazz festivals were introduced when they moved to Florence in 1991.
Frank worked in Silicon Valley for several semi-conductor companies. His last job was for Intech Inc., where he was a facilities manager for 18 years.
Frank will be missed for his smile, friendship and love of people and, of course, he is on another new adventure.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at his home on Sunday, June 2, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
