In Mapleton, Harry was part of a team working with Foglio Trucking, using low-inflated tires on logging roads. He was on a national fire-fighting team in charge of the camp logistics and he was on the design team for the Sweet Creek Falls Trail.

Harry worked briefly for the Port of Siuslaw as engineer on the ramp and parking lot paving jobs. He got a contractor’s license and worked several years on small building projects.

Any contributions in his name can be made to help put new windows in the church social hall that serves the Free Lunch Program.

Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
