Suspect arrested in string of Florence burglaries

Eric Eugene Fleming, 35, was being held as of Friday at the Lane County Jail in connection with a series of burglaries committed in the Florence area. Photographic evidence obtained through the investigation assisted the Sheriff’s Office in identifying Fleming as a suspect. He is being held on first-degree burglary, credit card fraud, identity theft and first-degree theft. Deputies have recovered approximately $6,000 so far in stolen property.

The Sheriff’s Office urges anyone who has been the victim of a crime to report that crime to law enforcement. Deputies have been able to recover property from burglaries and thefts based on information from such reports.
