MAPLETON— A bridge repair project will restrict travel on OR 36 (Mapleton-Junction City Hwy.) for a two week period, approximately 19 miles east of Mapleton in Lane County (milepost 19.69).
Beginning Monday, June 17, 2013, and continuing until Friday, June 28, the highway will be restricted to a single lane across Steinhauer Bridge. Flaggers will control travel across the bridge 24 hours per day during that time.
The construction project will replace structural components beneath the bridge, replace the bridge deck and install a new asphalt overlay on the deck.
One lane of travel will always be open during the project. Motorists should anticipate delays of twenty minutes or less. Emergency vehicles will be given priority passage.
