Public hearing on transportation plan set for June 18

On Monday, June 18, the Florence City Council will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 250 Highway 101, regarding proposed Comprehensive Plan and city code amendments relating to transportation.

The public hearing will be preceded by a work session at 6:30 p.m. that is open the public.

The council will consider updating the Florence Transportation System Plan, including the Municipal Airport Master Plan and Community Transit Plan, and adopt associated Comprehensive Plan and city code amendments.

The Transportation System Plan being considered by the City Council has been recommended by the Florence and Lane County Planning Commissions. It will guide the management and implementation of transportation facilities, policies, and programs within the urban growth boundary over the next 25 years. It also sets priorities for transportation improvements.
