YACHATS — The public is invited to join Forest Service field rangers at Cape Perpetua to explore the exciting world of tidepools Aug. 4-6.
During these three days, come discover what life is like at the edge of the ocean. Discover amazing life forms like sea anemones, sea stars, sea urchins, feather boa kelp and more during the low tides.
“There is a second series of especially low tides this summer,” said Lori Robertson, Cape Perpetua Center director. “They provide a great opportunity for visitors to check out our world class tide pools.”
During Tide Pool Discovery Days, naturalists will be stationed at the tide pools from 9 to 11 a.m., today, Sunday and Monday.
Tidepool movies and information will be available at the visitor center.
