Clifford R. “Skip” Post

POST—Clifford R. “Skip” Post, 87, of Florence, passed away Sept. 27, 2012.

Clifford was born Oct. 10, 1924, in Los Angeles, Calif., to George and Ester Post.

Clifford liked to golf and loved storytelling about his younger years as a child actor substitute in “Our Gang.”

He also landed on D-Day, on the Normandy Beach, during World War II with the “Big Red One.” He served March 8, 1943, through Dec. 9, 1945.

He obtained many decorations and citations, such as the American Campaign Medal, Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.

He is survived by his wife, Alice (Ainger) Post, of Florence.

Private cremation rites were held through Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home.
