This year’s 20th Anniver-sary Wine and Chocolate Gala on Oct. 6 is offering the largest and widest selection of art work in gala history, and includes such nationally known artists as George Sumner, Rich Thistle and Regina Krausse, and regionally prominent artists such as Curt Peters, Stephanie Ames and Bernie Herr. The casual to the serious art collector can expect to find exceptional works ranging from original watercolors to numbered and signed giclée prints in various media.
The evening also will include raffles, silent and live auction items that include award-winning art, weekend getaways, tickets to the Civil War games, custom jewelry, wood carvings, an amazing doll collection, a 32-inch flat screen television, a Kindle Touch with charger, golfing at Sandpines, and books such as “The Art of Katheryn Davis,” The Archives’ latest publication, “But That’s Another Story,” and more.
Several wineries will again be represented at this year’s Gala, and this year the Flying Dutchman Winery, located overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Otter Crest, will be present to pour some of its finest wines, as well as be available to answer questions about its award-winning winery.
Some of Florence’s finest eateries will be at this year’s event, including Waterfront Depot, 1285 Restobar, Spice, Lovejoy’s Tea Room, Bay Street Grill, Nature’s Corner and Red Rose Catering.
