H. Kermit Butler

BUTLER—H. Kermit Butler, 89, of Florence, passed away Oct. 27, 2012, in California.

Butler was born Dec. 10, 1922. He was raised in the San Francisco Bay area and had lived in the Florence area for over 30 years. He and his wife Ruth owned and operated The Quest Gift Shop on Bay Street and the JC Penney store.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn, in 1966, and his second wife, Ruth, in 2010.

He is survived by two daughters and many very close friends.

A private family service was held with interment in the San Francisco Bay area.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Florence Area Human Society and may be left with Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
