Dunes City Council will again consider an alternative to its current septic maintenance ordinance, 203, this time in the form of a new ordinance to be presented by Councilor Ed Scarberry at tomorrow night’s regular council meeting.
“This is just the first step in a long process,” said Scarberry.
The agenda lists the ordinance as an item for discussion or possible action, which would most likely be a recommendation for city staff to move ahead with the process that includes notifying the state’s Department of Land Conservation Development.
“We have a whole set of procedures to follow, taking into consideration it is a land-use issue. Citizen input will be an important part of this,” said the councilor.
