Salute to Vets

Honor the service and sacrifice of Armed Forces’ members and veterans by attending Sunday’s Veterans Day Parade in Old Town. The parade starts at 1 p.m. on Quince Street across from the Florence Events Center and ends at the Veteran’s Memorial Park (above) on Bay Street. This year’s grand marshal is centenarian Willard Conrow, one of the few local remaining servicemen from World War II. The annual special publication, “Veterans Day Tribute,” is in this issue of the Siuslaw News and includes the parade schedule.
