School board tables decision on Relay move

At its Dec. 12 meeting, the Siuslaw School District Board of Directors tabled until next month a decision on whether to allow Relay For Life of Florence to hold its Aug. 9 and 10 event at Hans Petersen Memorial Field.

Relay For Life, the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, is a 24-hour event that usually includes overnight camping, which is prohibited on school grounds.
