Parents, be careful not to let your guard down or become distracted while traveling or attending public functions with your children during the 2012 holiday season. The Oregon State Police Missing Children Clearinghouse urges parents to consider what they should be telling their children to keep them safe while shopping and traveling this holiday season.
“Talk with children about safety before heading out to a busy shopping mall or boarding a plane, train, or bus this holiday season. Since children may easily become separated from their parents or others they are with, they can easily become confused and scared. Have a plan and talk about it beforehand so children know what to do,” said Julie Willard, OSP missing persons program manager. For the complete article see the 12-15-2012 issue.
