REAVIS—Del Reavis, 47, of Florence, passed away Dec. 26, 2012, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Del was born May 5, 1965, in Florence, to Delbert
and JoLece Reavis. He was a 1983 graduate of Siuslaw High School.
Del worked at Murphy’s Mill after high school and, in 1984, worked at two lumber mills in Washington, where he met his wife, Theresa.
After returning to Florence, he worked at several jobs until he started working at OIA Camp Florence in 2003. He also was a SHS football coach, as well as a basketball coach at the Boys and Girls Club.
He will be forever remembered for his great sense of humor and wit, and for his passion for Siuslaw football. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Del was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; his children: Shanté, Alexis, Marisha, Zana, Trent and Tessa; his mother, JoLece; his sister, Charene; his grandmother, Vina Reavis; his nephews: K.C., Preston and his wife Koryn; his niece, Amélie; his great-nephew, Sammie; as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Dee Reavis.
Del will be greatly missed by all who loved him; he was just gone too soon.
