Though the Sailors were on their home hardwood, the Eagles were able to claim both match-ups Wednesday night.
In the girls game, McKenzie (7-1) relied on Katey Totten to charge the offense, which she did with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Still, Mapleton didn’t make it easy for McKenzie, holding the Eagles to one of their lowest-scoring games of the season and remaining within reach from start to finish.
Once again, Liz Harry led the offense for the Sailors, posting nine points, along with six points from Sonya Lang and five points each from Chelsea Simington and Maddie Frelich.
The Eagles held out for the win, however, 37-25.
