HUMPHREY—Carrick W. “Rick” Humphrey, 80, an 11-year resident of Florence, passed away Oct. 19, 2012, in Murray, Utah.

Rick was born Oct. 12, 1932, in Atkinson, Neb. He moved to south Pasadena, Calif., as a child and attended South Pasadena High School.

He joined the U.S. Navy at 17 and served for three years in the Korean War, where he was trained as an electrician.

They later retired to the Northern California mountain community of Lake Almanor before moving to Florence in 2001. The couple was in the process of relocating to Chandler, Ariz., at the time of his passing.
