1963 redux

How many councilors can fit into a phone booth? Dunes City’s elected officials attempted to answer that question Friday afternoon, when they were up to 1960’s-era college hijinks and crammed themselves into the phone booth in front of Potter’s Tire and Automotive Repair on Highway 101. The stunt brings attention to Dune City’s 50-year anniversary, for which many events are planned, including opening a time capsule, a triathlon and duathlon, and other activities. The city incorporated in 1963. Stuffed in the box are, clockwise from top, Maurice Sanders, Richard Anderson, Duke Wells, Rebecca Ruede, Ed Scarberry and Jamie Mills.
