SABC receives donation from Elks, kudos for GPAs

The Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club (SABC) recently announced it will donate $2,200 this month to the Ian Foster Athletic Scholarship Fund, which helps student athletes pay the fees to play sports at Siuslaw Middle and High Schools.

The club received its funds from local sources.

“Elks Lodge No. 1858 very generously donated $1,000,” said SABC President Jack Butler.

Over the holidays, members of the Florence community and SABC members contributed $1,200. The combined donations allowed SABC to make its contribution.
