Literary baskets raise $4K for library fund

Nearly 60 book-themed baskets plus ticket sales brought in more than $4,000 Sunday night during the Friends of the Siuslaw Public Library’s newest fundraiser and silent auction, “A Tisket, A Tasket... A Literary Basket.” Dozens of local businesses, organizations and individuals contributed to the event held after hours at the library. All proceeds benefit the library’s Book Endowment Fund, which supplements yearly book purchases.
