Spring has sprung, and so has the Easter Bunny who is planning several egg hunts around town this weekend for local children.

On Saturday, March 30, the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt is set for 10 a.m. at Miller Park, 18th and Oak streets, in Florence. The hunt, hosted by Siuslaw High School’s Interact Club and Florence Rotary Club, is open to all children, 12 years old and younger.

The Mapleton Lions Club will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt and Games also on Saturday, from noon to 12:30 p.m., at the Mapleton Junior High School Athletic Field.

The hunt is for children, infants through fifth grade.

There will be a Bunny Hop to the Easter Bunny for pre-school and kindergarten, an egg and spoon race for first and second graders, a three-legged race for grades three and four, and an egg and spoon race for third and fourth graders, and a raw egg toss for fifth graders.
