A power outage early Friday morning affected homes and businesses in a wide swath from the Siuslaw River Bridge up north to Sea Lion Caves, said Gary Nieborsky, operations manager for Central Lincoln PUD.
Power was out from 4 to about 6:15 a.m.. Residents in the Dunes City area may have also experienced a power bump, said the operations manager.
“We (weren’t) 100 percent sure what happened,” added Nieborsky. “We had something get into the line between the Florence substation and Heceta Beach substation.”
Central Lincoln crews investigating the problem later found a bad insulator on the line.
