Long-time Siuslaw School District staff head for retirement

Posted: Friday, Jun 14th, 2013

Mark Bosket, Noland Huntington, Harry Holton, Joni Holton and Lynn Woodworth were some of the staff lauded for their contributions to the Siuslaw School District at Wednesday’s board meeting.
Retirees from the Siuslaw School District were recognized for their years of service to the district and the community during Wednesday night’s school board meeting.

Head Custodian Mark Bosket retired after 24 years. Siuslaw High School assistant principal Andy Grzeskowiak said about Bosket’s role in the district, “He’s been much more than the guy maintaining the school; he’s been that extra positive contact kids need outside of the classroom and has done a lot of mentoring in that way throughout the years.”

Transportation Director Noland Huntington has been with the district 25 years. Superintendent Jeff Davis said Huntington has “served this community and the school district with distinction,” and that he ran his department with “great integrity.”
