DEBEAUVOIR—Jesse Debeauvoir, of Florence, passed away peacefully July 30, 2013.
Jesse was born in Pennsylvania to Elizabeth and James. After serving in the army, Jesse moved to Chicago, where he met and married Carolyn J. Shelly.
Twelve years ago, Jesse moved to Florence and was active in the Florence Humane Society Thrift Shop. His contagious smile and laugh blessed all who knew him.
A true gentleman, “The Counselor” is survived by his sister Betty; brother Charles; daughter Tracy; grandchildren Sara and Jack; great-grandchildren Katelynn and Logan; nieces and nephews Christopher, Lorna, Eric, Charlena and Walter.
To celebrate his life, his family and friends are coming together at the ball park area at Cleawox Lake at Honeyman State Park on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 1 p.m. — food, famly and friends outdoors in a ballfield, an appropriate tribute to honor a man who devoted his life to others.
His life achievements are too numerous to mention, so come and share a story.
Thanks to the Chasco and Baker family, Western Lane Ambulance paramedics, officer Kevin Larson and Alan Burns for their compassion and professionalism. Thanks, also, to the PeaceHealth co-workers for support at this time.
Private cremational rites were held at Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home, which is in charge of all arrangements.
