After nearly two years of negotiations and many years in debate, the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill that makes some big promises to Oregonians by way of improving the economy here.
The O&C (Oregon and California Railroad) Trust, Conservation and Jobs Act (OCTCJA) was proposed by the House Natural Resources and U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) and State Reps. Greg Walden (R-Hood River) and Kurt Schrader (D-Canby) and was passed by the House Friday, Sept. 20.
