WIMER—Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend Jean Wimer of Dallas passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2013, at OHSU in Portland. A sudden brain aneurysm took her from us too soon at the age of 65.
Jean was born to Robert “Bud” and Betty Randolph in Sweet Home, joining her older brother James “Jim” Randolph.
She graduated from Siuslaw High School in 1966. Later that year, Jean met the love of her life, Donald Wimer, at Lane Community College in Springfield. They were married in December 1967 and enjoyed 45 happy years of marriage along with two beautiful daughters.
Jean dedicated her life to making a happy home for her husband and daughters as well as caring for several extended family members. She joyfully gave of herself to friends and family and was truly an angel on earth. We will miss her selfless kindness, soft touch and amazing home-cooked meals and desserts. Our hearts are broken but we are comforted to know that Jean is at peace with our heavenly Father and we will see her again.
Jean was preceded in death by her father, Bud Randolph, and is survived by her husband, Don Wimer of Dallas; daughters Rebecca (Dave) Friesen of Beaverton, Beth (Vince) Jones of Monmouth; grandchildren Morgan McPherson, Alyssa and Brandon Friesen and Caitlyn Jones; mother Betty Randolph and brother Jim Randolph of Independence; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her beyond words.
Services will be held at the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center in Dallas, Ore., on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. with a viewing preceding from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Private burial will be in the Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home. To leave an online message or memory go online to www.dallastribute.com.
