Looking for something warm and comforting to do for the Christmas season? Why not come Home for the Holidays.

Visiting the various Florence Area Chamber of Commerce events scheduled today and throughout December are guaranteed to spread holiday cheer.

Holiday cheer starts with the traditional Christmas tree lighting and arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in historic Old Town today, Nov. 30. The jolly couple from the North Pole, dressed in red, arrive around 4:30 p.m. on a large red vehicle with lights flashing. Watch closely to see if it flies!

Mayor Nola Xavier will hit the magic switch at dusk to light up the tree set up at the Gazebo Park on Bay Street.
