Preliminary information from the Oregon State Police (OSP) indicates there were no fatal traffic crashes in Oregon during the 2014 Super Bowl weekend between 12:01 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, and 5:59 a.m., Monday, Feb. 3.
During the weekend, OSP troopers reported 43 DUII arrests, up from 31 reported arrests during last year’s Super Bowl weekend. Last year on Oregon roads during Super Bowl weekend, two people died in two separate fatal traffic crashes in Oregon. Both crashes were investigated by OSP, one of which involved alcohol.
