Port of Siuslaw commissioners voted to approve rate adjustments for moorage, storage and dump station fees during their May 21 board meeting. Commercial moorage rates were increased by 3 percent, and recreational moorage rates were reduced by 25 percent, both changes to more closely reflect the rates charged by neighboring ports.
Commercial moorage fees are set to increase by 3 percent (or Consumer Price Index if higher than 3 percent) for daily, monthly and annual rates, beginning July 1, 2014. An exception will be made for existing commercial boats that are in compliance with their port contract terms. Their rates will not go up until the end of their contract. The Port of Siuslaw considers commercial boats to be in compliance if they retain Florence as their homeport and are not in arrears with their payments.
