Whales migration, watching to begin Saturday

Whale watchers look for gray whales along the Heceta Overlook.
The Oregon Chapter of the American Cetacean Society announced its third annual Summer Whale Watch Weekend for July 26 and 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The shore-based whale watch is free and open to the public and will be held at Boiler Bay State Park in Depoe Bay.

The American Cetacean Society will provide information and education on the diversity of whales, dolphins and porpoises found on the Oregon Coast, as well as information on whale watching.
