Robinson to be among athletes inducted into Hall of Fame

Standout track athlete Mary Robinson (Dodson) set two high school track records as a sophomore, including breaking her own 200 meters record the same year.
Her name still holds a spot on three of Siuslaw High School’s top-10 lists for track and field. Some 32 years later, Mary Robinson — now Mary Dodson — is still having an impact on Siuslaw athletics as an assistant track coach, as well as in the classroom as a science teacher.

As a freshman, Robinson made her presence known as a standout three-sport athlete, participating in volleyball, basketball and track. But it was in track, specifically the sprints and jumps, where she garnered the attention of coaches throughout the Far West and the 2A.
