Littlest library

Posted: Tuesday, Jul 29th, 2014

Ava Glowacki shows off the Little Library built by her family as part of a Power of Florence Power Pack project.
Take a book. Leave a book,” is the simple motto of the Little Library concept. This idea will soon be introduced to Florence, thanks to the inspiration and motivation of 9-year-old Ava Glowacki and her mother Ella Glowacki.

“There was this great article in the Eugene paper about a Little Library that had recently been built in Eugene. I showed it to Ava because she loves reading,” said Ella Glowacki. “She brought it to the Power Pack meeting as an example of what kids in Florence could do to make their town better. She told Shannon Graham and (daughter) Kaylee about the idea and they liked it.”
