Dorothy “Dotti” Elaine Rogato

May 27, 2020 — Dorothy “Dotti” Elaine Rogato, 60, of Florence, Ore., passed away at home with her loved ones by her side in the early morning of Jan. 22, 2020.

Dotti was born in Lynn, Mass., on July 15, 1959, to the late Clarence and Phyllis Sweeney.

She moved to Oregon in 1987 with her former husband, George Rogato, and her children.

Dotti’s greatest love was her children and grandchildren; there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her family and those close to her.

She was always ready with a joke, a smile, a hug or anything she could do to make a loved one’s day a little better.

She enjoyed bird watching, puzzles, gardening and anything purple. Dotti was an amazing woman who will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her three children: Michael (and his wife Jacqueline) Rogato, of Eugene, Ore., Patrick Rogato of Hillsboro, Ore., and Elizabeth Rogato of Florence, Ore.; seven grandchildren: Aristotle, Raphael and Marius Rogato of Eugene, Chase, Logan and Destiny Teel, and Samantha Rogato-Teel, all of Florence; and eight siblings: Gerry McCaul of Lynn, Mass., Elizabeth Kendrick of Xenia, Ohio, David Sweeney of Florida, Alan Sweeney of Phoenix, Ariz., Barbara Parker of Mesa, Ariz., Virginia Rappold of Danvers, Mass., Patricia Kozlosky of Concord, N.H., and Mark Sweeney of Lima, Ohio.

The family wishes to thank the ladies at Peace Health Hospice in Florence for the compassionate care they provided to Dotti and her family during her final months.

We are forever grateful.
