FPD seek suspect

Dec. 18, 2021 - On Dec. 9 at approximately 11:43 p.m., the Florence Police Department received a report of an armed robbery at 7-11.
Officers responded and determined that a male suspect had pointed a revolver at the store employee and demanded money. The suspect then left the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Investigation at the scene and surrounding area developed descriptions of two possible suspects and an involved vehicle. Through an ongoing investigation and with the assistance of Tribal PD, officers were able to positively identify the two suspects involved and the vehicle. Florence officers are working with the Lane County District Attorney’s Office to obtain arrest warrants for the two suspects for Robbery.
In addition, on Dec. 14 at approximately 4:23 a.m., Florence Police received a report of a robbery at Circle K. Officers responded and determined that a male suspect had demanded money and then left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
Based on investigation, the Florence Police Department does not believe that a threat exists to the community at large due to these incidents.
