June 25, 2021 — On Friday (today), Oregon Gov. Kate Brown signed an executive order that will lift Oregon’s risk level framework, and all remaining COVID-19 health and safety restrictions that have been issued under Oregon’s emergency statutes. This will be effective when the state hits its targeted 70% vaccination or June 30 — whichever comes first.
“Brighter days are ahead,” Brown said. “We are more determined than ever to make sure we ground our state in a strong recovery that reaches every single Oregonian. Our work is not done, but we can all take a moment to celebrate that by next week, we will be moving forward, together.”
The executive order will continue the emergency declaration for the limited purpose of supporting the state’s recovery from the ongoing pandemic. This action will give Oregon the flexibility and access to resources needed to aid in our recovery efforts.
