Feb. 25, 2020 — Pianist/composer Kate Moody will be performing a solo piano house concert in the home of Kathy Parsons on Sunday, March 1, at 3 p.m. as part of the house concert series in the Sandpines West development in Florence.

The Mainly Piano House Concert Series was developed by Parsons to showcase unique musical artists and bring them to Florence.

“We’re getting ready for the first concert of the season,” Parsons said.

Moody has produced seven albums of her work, ranging from solo piano to symphonic pieces. Her music is inspired by nature and her studies of spiritual philosophy.

Her orchestral album, “The Seeker,” won Best Instrumental Album at the 2004 Just Plain Folks Music Awards. Her music has been described as Mystical Romantic.

Moody studied piano at Sonoma State University in California and composition at New England Conservatory. She continues to be actively involved in music education, teaching piano and composition.

She also leads Write Your Own Music! workshops and offers healing workshops with spiritually-oriented music and Connect & Glow guided meditations. Listen to music and learn more about her at

There is a suggested donation of $20 at the door for the concert. All donations go to the artist. Reservations are required and can be made by emailing Parsons at [email protected] or calling her at 541-999-9720. The address and directions will be given when reservations are made.
