… and cats and all the animals at the Oregon Coast Humane Society

Sept. 27, 2022 — On Sept. 6, the Ocean Dunes Women’s Golf Association (ODWGA) held its annual Mulligan Invitational Tournament at Ocean Dunes Golf Links. The event was a fundraiser for the Oregon Coast Humane Society.

Forty-four women from along the Oregon coast were greeted with perfect weather and a fun day of golf, lunch, a raffle and lots of laughter.

“The ODWGA would like to thank Ocean Dunes Golf Links, Bob Rannow and Three Rivers Casino Resort for their donations and support for our scramble,” said ODWGA President Deborah Goetschi.

Pam Dagoberg, golf committee chairperson, and her committee of Karen Twichell, Jan Pizarro and Arlene Biron did an exceptional job raising donations and securing and decorating the venue for the luncheon that followed the four-person scramble.

ODWA league membership consists of 25, and those ladies were heavily involved in the preparation for this event, whether it be donating items for goodie bags or raffle, purchasing raffle tickets, setting up or cleaning afterwards.

“Kudos to our membership,” said Goetschi. “Through the generosity of golf hole sponsors and private donations, and raffle items, the league is so pleased to present $7,343 to Oregon Coast Humane Society. ODWGA would like to thank our sponsors, private donors, and the many businesses who supplied gift certificates and items for our beautiful raffle baskets. We are all thankful to live in a supportive and giving community that assists in making these types of events successful.”
