PETERS—Robert “Bob” Wilson Peters, 88, died unexpectedly January 19, 2022, at New Friends Home in Florence, Ore. He was born on August 12, 1933, in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Ralph and Blanche Peters, and was raised in South Pasadena, Calif.

Bob graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1952 and attended Whittier College, where he was student body president during his senior year. After graduating from Whittier College in 1956, Bob served as an officer in the US Navy for four years.

Following his military service, Bob worked for Blue Diamond. Years later he started several of his own companies, R. W. Peters Company, Calply Company and Stockdale Building Materials.

Bob was a loving husband to his first wife, Danielle Peters, for over 30 years. He married his second wife, Mildred Peters, whom he adored until her passing. He is survived by his twin brother, James Peters, his three children (Carrie, Curt and Keely), and their spouses (Ronald, Pam and Dave). He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Kyle, Dylan, Riley, Daniel, Aleck, Gavin and Lucia.

Bob loved to fish, walk with the many dogs he had throughout his life, and spend time with his grandchildren. Time with his grandkids always put a sparkle in his eye.

Bob loved to end his evenings with a glass of Zinfandel and a bowl of ice cream right before bed.

He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

A private service will be held on the coast of Florence, Ore., when weather permits.
