Club gives over $17k for new Viking uniforms

Nov. 30, 2022 — The Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club (SABC) held its regular monthly meeting on Nov. 17.

The most important business conducted was the donation of over $17,000 for new uniforms for middle school cross country and track, high school football and high school girls wrestling.

Last September, the SABC hosted an auction to raise funds for the club. According to Treasurer Deanna Frazier, the auction raised over $47,000.

“Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended our auction, we were able to support these programs,” said Londi Tomaro, SABC vice-president and SHS boys soccer coach.

The SABC tries to meet on the third Thursday of each month. Their next meeting is Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Siuslaw Middle School, 2525 Oak St., in the library. The public is encouraged to attend.
