March 8, 2022 — With the season starting on March 14, the Siuslaw Middle School track and field team is in need of head coach, immediately.

SMS has two assistant track coaches but needs someone to lead the team.

“We still don't have a head coach and I am reaching out to anybody who would be interested in coaching Siuslaw Middle School track and field,” said Jeremy Graybill, SMS athletic director. “We do have two assistant coaches, but no head coach. This could put our season into jeopardy if we can't find anybody to head coach.”

The duties of a head coach would be to assist in building and sustaining a competitive and fulfilling program for everyone involved in the program and to be able to effectively coach and model skills, work ethic and values inherent to a strong program.

This position requires positive communication skills regarding all expectations and requirements connected to academics, safety and skill level.
