Suspects in American Market, Cleawox robberies apprehended

May 4, 2023 — Tuesday night at about 10:30 p.m. the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received the report of an attempted burglary at the Cleawox Market located in the 85000 block of Highway 101 south of Florence. The manager of the location reported that two masked subjects attempted to enter the vacant store after shooting through the front door with a shotgun. Security footage on scene depicted the suspects armed with a shotgun that resembles the appearance of an AK-47 style rifle. The suspects did not make entry into the store.

Approximately 30 minutes later the Florence Police Department responded to the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the American Market located in the 2500 block of Highway 101. The suspects were wearing masks and armed with what appeared to be the same weapon used in the attempted burglary. The suspects stole cigarettes, other smoking devices and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Florence Police Department's John Pitcher reported on Thursday, May 4 that the suspects have been apprehended. 

Daniel Keough and Quinton Ramey were located by police officers in Sumner, Washington early this morning and taken into custody without incident.  Taylor Lenihan, who had been listed as a runaway juvenile, was also located.  The involved vehicle and a firearm matching the description of the one used in the robbery in Florence was also recovered.
